In January of 2004, the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. which is a 20,000 seat arena, had a Latin Night at their National Basketball League game. Several Casino Rueda groups along with many Salsa couples danced together, between quarters, to provide Latin dance entertainment at this game.

A Casino Rueda group from New York run by Hadar Harel, another group from Richmond run by Ashton Feliciano, and one from the D.C./Baltimore area run by Barb Bernstein all danced in their own circles on the court. We numbered roughly 70 dancers, with an audience of thousands.

This was arranged in part to introduce a large number of people in an audience to Casino style dancing. It was quite an experience. You can watch a short clip of this show by clicking on the picture above.
